A sequel to John Carpenter's Halloween in name only, HALLOWEEN III doesn't feature any gruesome murders by Michael Myers and it clearly owes more to Carpenter's later films like They Live. In fact, it's a pleasantly campy yet creepily grim commentary on consumerism and mass media. The evil head of the Silver Shamrock mask company plots mass murder on a grand scale by selling booby-trapped Halloween masks. One ER doctor and the owner of a toy store discover the truth and desperately race against time to halt the slaughter. Unfairly maligned because of its lack of Michael Myers, HALLOWEEN III is due for a reassessment join us this Halloween to see for yourself!
