2nd Story Ingredient: Apples
Hey folks! This is the second dinner in our series, Ingredient. This month we are excited to feature apples. We'll be working with several different varieties of these awesome fruits from the folks over at Queener Fruit farms.
Erin's super excited about this menu! Here goes:
Starter: Caramelized onion kasha cake, apple-chanterelle compote, Pecorino Romano crisp
Salad: Frisee, warm roasted apples, pancetta lardons, almonds, apple cider vinaigrette
Entree: Apple-braised beef short ribs, root vegetable gratin, kale
Dessert: Apple & huckleberry upside-down cake, bay leaf ice cream, hazelnuts
*there will also be a drink pairing for this dinner, mostly wine, though we're pretty certain dessert is going to be paired with warm apple cider that's been spiked with brandy.
