Hands on Food: Lamb Dan Dan
Join us and let's roll up our sleeves in the kitchen again! This time, we will be making homemade Lamb Dan Dan noodles using local Slough Farm lamb.
These toothsome handmade noodles are originally from Sichuan, China and are named for the type of carrying pole used by walking street vendors selling the dish to passers-by.
Participants are invited to visit Slough Farm on the morning of February 7th to pick up a fresh ingredient kit stocked with produce and meats fresh from local farms and learn (from a distance) how to hand roll noodles with Tyler and Brandee from Island Rose Cooking. Later that evening, everyone will reconvene (virtually) to continue cooking the meal together!
At a time when gathering over food feels impossible, this hybrid workshop allows for safe connection over locally sourced ingredients, culinary craft, and the enjoyment of food. RSVPs are required to reserve a kit.
