Whether you're brand new to performance, an improviser or already have developed mask characters, come and play. The workshop benefits greatly from a mixture of experience levels. Expect to play, improvise, experiment with the physicality of full mask and dive into the strange and wonderful world of trance masks, naive characters who emerge from your exploration of the mask.
Suitable for actors, software programmers, clowns and accountants - anyone willing to try out a new way to play. Trance mask work takes you out of yourself and into a brand new character, bypassing the conscious mind and loosening everything up. After trying trance mask, people often notice their own behaviour being infused with a taste of the confidence and authentic passion of their masks.
