[BPC Turns 10] Love and Theft
Curated by Kenneth Goldsmith and Robert Fitterman.
For the past decade or so, The Segue Readings at The Bowery Poetry Club offered a group of poets, especially emerging poets, a place to curate readings of new and innovative works and solidify a community, a scene, a dialog, a hang-out. As the tendency towards radical appropriation and conceptual poetry and post-conceptual poetry started to take root, Saturday afternoons at BPC became a place where those experiments were tried and shared.
LOVE & THEFT distills ten years of involvement with this ground-breaking poetry, and includes some of those poets who helped build this conversation: Josef Kaplan, Kim Rosenfield, Andy Sterling, Nada Gordon, Lanny Jordan Jackson, Steve Zultanski, Patrick Lovelace, Monica de la Torre, and others.
