Rabbi Marc Schneier & Imam Shamsi Ali.SONS OF ABRAHAM: A Candid Conversation about the Issues That Divide and Unite Jews and Muslims
Two orthodox religious leaders, the vice-president of the World Jewish Congress and the spiritual leader of New York City's largest Islamic Center, overcame mutual mistrust to denounce Anti-Semitism and Islamophobia; promote interfaith cooperation; and ultimately forge a friendship. Together they clarify falsehoods put forth by extremists on both sides; encourage compassion; and challenge Jews and Muslims to stand together and move forward for peace.
The Festival joins the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding's 2013 Weekend of Twinning in working to build a global movement of Muslims and Jews committed to communication; reconciliation; cooperation and the well-being of our two communities, and the diverse societies we share in countries around the world.
