Everyday Broadsides: An Image + Text Workshop
In this workshop we will be exploring the relationship between visual art & accompanying text. We will discuss basic techniques of graphic design as a means of informational & emotional communication, & students will have the opportunity to generate 'broadside' postcards of their own artwork & text through short image-based writing prompts & discussion of collage & other visual art techniques. Participants should come to class prepared to make, share, cut & paste. All materials provided.
