Xochipilli 9th Annual Production: Mosaico Mexicano
Mosaico Mexicano is a two-hour production that celebrates México's cultural heritage through a multimedia performance that highlights the diversity of Mexican culture through music and folk dance featuring Groupo Litoral from Colima, México and Mariachi Jalisco from San José, California.
Mexican folk dance is a culturally rich community based art form. Each suite in the show depicts the typical rhythms and the movements that characterize the folklore, culture and traditions of its region of origin. Mosaico Mexicano will showcase the music and dance from the states of Veracruz, Guerrero, Chihuahua, Nuevo León, Baja California, Veracruz, Zacatecas and Jalisco.
