Into the Woods combines the well-known fairy tales of Cinderella, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Little Red Riding Hood with the story of the Baker and his Wife who desperately want a child but who have been cursed by childlessness by the Witch next door. To break the spell, they embark on a quest that brings together many popular fairy tale characters. What begins as a lively, irreverent fairy tale becomes a moving lesson about greed, happiness, and community responsibility.
