Slow Food NYC Annual Members' Meeting (and Pot Luck Lunch)

SFNYC members are invited to attend our annual meeting and pot luck lunch, graciously hosted by Astor Center. Join us and hear about SFNYC activities during tha past year and share your ideas about Slow Food directions during the coming year with the SFNYC Leadership Committee. The meeting is around a convivial pot luck lunch. Bring a seasonal, "slow" dish (doesn't have to be expensive or fancy), enough for six to eight portions. We will provide wine, plates, glasses, utensils, and napkins.

Our guest speaker will be Josh Viertel, the new president of Slow Food USA. Josh will brief us on the national Slow Food agenda. And we will hold a very "slow" raffle, the proceeds of which will help support Harvest Time, our local SFNYC Slow Food in Schools program. Prizes include: a cocktail party for 12 delivered by master mixologist, Allen Katz, Slow Food USA Board Chair; a $350 Fatty Crab gift certificate; an insider's tour of the Union Square Greenmarket, led by Ed Yowell, Slow Food Regional Governor and member of the Greenmarket Advisory Committee; Institute of Culinary Education cooking courses; and much, much more.
