The Art of Reading and Book Sale Preview
This is an art event for book lovers...or it a book event for art lovers?! Either way, you'll be dazzled by the artwork displayed at this event. Local artists were given the task of creating an artistic representation of their favorite book, and the art will be on display and for sale at the event. 75% of the sales directly benefit the programs of Literacy Mid-South!
In addition, the annual Book Sale Preview Party will be held simultaneously with the Art of Reading. More than 3500 books will be for sale, and attendees will have first choice on brand new hardcover and paperback books for $5 and under.
The event will also feature special surprise performances, a Bookworm outlet store, and the announcement of our Book(s) of Choice for 2014!
The event will be held at Germantown Community Theatre at 3037 Forest Hill Road.
Admission also includes an open bar, hors d'oeuvres, and several surprise presentations. Tickets are $25 in advance or $35 at the door.
Event is 21 and up only.
Can't make the event? The Book Sale will be held the following day from 9am-3:00pm at Germantown Community Theatre. Additionally, all unsold artwork will be available to purchase online at www.thebookwormstore.com.
