Tower of Song: a creative tribute to Leonard Cohen - outdoor performance!

When Leonard Cohen sang these words, the Tower of Song was a metaphor for the inspiration that flows between songwriters, each toiling away on their own, but connected by their shared craft. Moved by this concept, celebrated BC singer-songwriters Oliver Swain and Glenna Garramone collaborated to produce a project that is a dialogue through song, and a tribute to the legendary songwriter. Re-imagining both rare and classic works of Cohen, the duo have crafted a sound that resonates with both longtime Cohen fans and a younger audience. Hear Cohen's timeless songs arranged for two voices, banjo, string bass, piano and guitar.
Join us for a physically-distanced live outdoor event (maximum audience of 50 attendees to adhere to BC's Provincial Health guidelines). Exact location (close to Willows Beach in Victoria, BC) is included in the "notes to attendees" once you have purchased a ticket. Advance tickets required.
There may be uneven terrain, due to the outdoor and spontaneous nature of the performance, we cannot guarantee the wheelchair accessibility of the terrain. Please contact us in advance if you have questions regarding accessibility. NO PUBLIC WASHROOM will be available on the grounds for the concert, closest public washroom is less than a kilometer (2 minute drive) away at Willows Beach.
It is of the greatest importance that we do this safely and responsibly and follow all physical distancing protocols and safety guidelines. Please be patient with some of this as it might seem inconvenient but this is the world we find ourselves in.
1) There will be one seating of no more than 48 guests. The concert is close to the Willows Beach area, guests will receive exact address in the "notes to attendees" and only after they purchase their tickets. This is an outdoor location and may include uneven terrain.
2) Guests are encouraged to bring their own seating: blankets and low chairs or festival seating only in the front, regular lawn chairs a little further back. Some folding chairs will be available on site as well.
3) Guests will be directed by lines to seat themselves six feet apart (unless grouped with others in their social "bubble" of up to 6 people).
4) All guests are encouraged to physically distance, and to bring a mask to wear in case there are interactions where physical distancing is not possible.
5) Guests are asked to arrive as close to show time as possible. Doors open 1:30pm, show starts 2pm.
6) There will be no break, guests are encouraged to disperse quickly once the performance in complete.
7) If you feel unwell or have any Covid-19 symptoms, please stay home.
8) Tickets are non-refundable.
