Northwest Symphony Orchestra: Family Concert
Northwest Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce the first concert in its 2013-2014 season. In honor of the centennial of Benjamin Britten, one of the finest British composers of the last century, the orchestra will perform his popular The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. The concert will also include Beethoven's well known 5th Symphony, and the Finale from Suite for String Orchestra by Northwest composer Peter Seibert.

"The Northwest Symphony Orchestra's family concert has something for everyone.  We celebrate Benjamin Britten's 100th anniversary with The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra- a thrilling piece always enjoyed equally by young and adults alike.  Beethoven's Symphony #5 needs no introduction- with its famous Da-da-da-Dah, it is known the world over.  In all- a great way to open our 2013-2014 season."

- NWSO Conductor Anthony Spain
