Tennessee Williams' The Night of the Iguana directed by Lynne Compton
Edmonds Community College Theatre Arts department opens its 2008-09 season with Tennessee Williams' The Night of the Iguana.
The play is set within the confines of a broken-down resort hotel on the coast of Mexico in September 1940. There an ex-minister learns compassion and endurance from and unlikely group of fellow travelers.
Mild suggestive language is present in this work. ESL interpretation will be provided for the November 14th show.
Edmonds Community College's Black Box Theatre provides room for the college's Theater Arts productions and serves as a community events space to enhance the arts and education in Snohomish County. Theater Manager Jim Bovino joined the college in September. Bovino has more than 15 years experience in theater as a writer, performer, producer and director. He is now joined by Andre Bouchard, the theater's Ticketing and Publicity Lead. Bouchard is the founder of Walrus Performance Productions in Seattle where he has served as Artistic Director for seven years and has generated choreography for Walrus Dance Company and Barefoot Studios in Tacoma.
