Hosted by The Dianaverse and Jaime Van
Come gather in the garden to learn the ancient art of making hydrosols!
Have you wanted to learn how to preserve your herbs and flowers for later use through the alchemy of distillation to create a hydrosol? If so, we invite you to bring a handful of herbs and fragrant flowers from your garden to create a community floral/herbal water that has many uses. If you aren't growing a garden, and want to learn this way or more about the process, we have you covered! This class is for all that want to learn this ancient form.
During our time together we will prepare the plants that you all bring to demonstrate the process of making hydrosol with the use of two small copper Alembics. While the plants are distilling, we will enjoy a variety of seasonal herbal teas and talk about the culinary, medicinal and selfcare uses of hydrosol. Class will end with carefully bottling up the day's creation for each to take home in a bottle, and also you'll gather a surprise gift from the garden.
If you've been wanting to try out this process or have equipment and want experience to feel confident using it, this class is for you.
Hope to see you in the Garden!
Class is $45: includes packet of the information we will cover in class and other reference materials, 2oz glass spray bottle of our community garden hydrosol that we will make, and infused herbal teas.
