Vocal Point in Concert
Vocal Point is Brigham Young University's premiere 9-man a cappella ensemble. Directed by McKay Crockett, Vocal Point wows audiences everywhere with their vocal firepower, innovative arrangments, and remarkable vocal percussion.
For 20 years, Vocal Point has wowed audiences and blazed trails in the world of a cappella music. Its members and directors over the years have each contributed their special talents to make Vocal Point what it is today.
Adam Heimbigner Adam rounds out VP's low end with his bass/bari voice and his powerful vocal percussion. This guy's style brings the "pow" that you can't help but dance to.
Bryce Romney Bryce brings fresh energy and Southern hospitality to Vocal Point. Bryce is the newest member of Vocal Point and his luscious baritone voice is a welcome addition.
Jake Tengelsen Jake's voice is the swiss army knife of Vocal Point. When you need a low baritone, Jake can handle it. When you need a trumpet, Jake will take care of it. When you need an operatic soprano part, Jake will cover it. Folks, be prepared: Jake sings it all.
Jon Rose Jon started playing the piano before he was potty trained! From his fingertips to his tapping feet, every bit of this guy feels the need to express the rhythm of life.
Keith Evans Keith arranges a lot of VP's music, having learned how to arrange A cappella songs after some laughable trial-and-error. Keith also blows the pitch before each song, which makes him feel important.
Landon Peay With his smooth moves and his soft smolder, all the ladies fall for Landon. Sorry Ladies, he's already married!
Robert Seely When you hear Robert's running bass lines on stage, you'll be searching for the instruments--nope, its just him. And not only does he sing low booming bass notes, but he has an Elmo impersonation that will knock your socks off!
Scott Shattuck Scott realized that those "awkward years" that all young men go through didn't affect his voice nearly as much as the other boys! He continues singing high and envying the other boys who can comfortably go below an A on the piano. He is proud to report he can now sing comfortably in the alto range, too!
Trevor Johnson Trevor's pure baritone sound is the glue that keeps Vocal Point together! His voice has a warm beautiful tone that blends well with any member of the group. Whether it's a booming bass line or smooth sailing solo, his voice will make you melt like a popsicle on the Fourth of July!
