Fundraising: Special Events for Arts Groups 101
Are you considering launching your first fundraising event?
Want to fine-tune an upcoming fundraiser?
Curious about how fundraising at an event is supposed to work?

We'll discuss types of fundraising events, money-raising strategies, how to tailor your event to your organization and your guests, and how to create the event team you need to get it done right. This is a great workshop if you're new to events, fundraising or otherwise, or looking for ways to kick it up a notch. Get a dynamic return on your investment by learning how to tell your story well through the right event for your group.

About our Workshop Lead:
Alex collaborates with dynamic organizations and private clients to produce ambitious, effective, well-coordinated events. She has 14 years of demonstrated success in event planning, coordination, and production under her belt, and co-founded Jubilee Events in 2001.

Whether it's spearheading a signature gala event for a notable non-profit, whipping together a performance piece or ushering along a wedding planning process, Alex gets the job done with grace and style. She combines a radical conscientiousness and aligns her productions with a commitment to sustainability, social justice ethos and grassroots DIY style. Alex is comfortable working with ethnically, culturally and economically diverse individuals and groups, and revels in storytelling, marketing, PR, and promotions for events of all sizes. Current clients include Artist Trust, Citizen University, 826 Seattle, PEPS, Economic Opportunity Institute, Senior Housing Assistance Group, Friends of the Children, Shunpike, Whim W'Him, NARAL, Ethiopia Reads.

When not immersed in event-land, she can be found enjoying her family, hiking the mountains of WA State, obsessively monitoring the rain barrels, planning backyard parties with neighborhood friends, and enjoying the local music, food, performance and culture of her beloved city, Seattle.
