Like many shows of the period, Father Knows Best began on radio before becoming a television series. Robert Young played Jim Anderson on 197 radio shows, before playing the same part in the television series.
In this episode Mr. Anderson decides that his wife needs a Housekeeper. And so it begins, another misadventure in which we find that maybe Anderson's motives were not quite what they seemed.
