With adherence to CDC physical distancing guidelines, the PA Firefly Festival will host a limited public viewing of fireflies at the Black Caddis Ranch on Saturday, June 27. For a donation of $5 (plus processing fees) per person to the PA Firefly Festival organization, 25 visitors will be directed to the area to watch fireflies from 9 pm to 11 pm. Space is limited to ensure physical distancing, minimize environmental impact and ensure a good experience for everyone. |
Visitors are encouraged to bring camp chairs or walking sticks. All participants should dress appropriately for the weather and a night in the forest. Long sleeves, pants and sturdy footwear are highly recommended. Families are welcome. However, this is a late-night event and may be unsuitable for very young children. Parents know best.
Wearing of face masks is encouraged and physical distancing (6ft) will be respected during the program. Participants assume responsibility for any and all risk of possible exposure to the COVID-19. Participants will be asked to withdraw from the event if they have a fever or present other symptoms of illness. Please do not register if you have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 2 weeks.
Flashlights are neither required nor necessary, but if used, must have a dark red filter. Pets, cell phones and flash photography are discouraged. Photographers who wish to attempt long-exposures are welcome.
The programs are rain-or-shine events, however, it is subject to cancellation in the event of severe weather or threats to public safety. No rainchecks or refunds.
