Creepshow Camps, Fall 2008
Starting Saturday, October 18 Creepshow Camp returns to The Hypnodrome, San Francisco's award-winning horror theatre, for two very special Fall sessions. Check the one you want!
"Dreams and Nightmares" (ages 8 - 11 and 12 - 15) Creepshow Campers turn their dreams into action on the Hypnodrome stage under the direction of Drama Therapist Linda Posner and Thrillpeddlers staff. By recounting events and images from their own dreams, small ensembles of campers come together in workshops and performances - deconstructing, casting and recounting their own dreams. Ms. Posner is also an accomplished choreographer and performer who, under the stage name Leland Palmer, has received two Tony Award nominations and is perhaps best-known for her starring role in Bob Fosses film "All That Jazz". Saturdays from 10:30 am - 3:30 pm, October 18 through November 22. Tuition is $350.
"Creepshow Company" (ages 11 - 15) Experienced Campers are invited to join members of Thrillpeddlers (winner of SF Weekly's "Best of San Francisco" Awards in 2007 and 2008) for a season of holiday parties and performances. We'll plan and host the 2nd annual Creepshow Halloween Party on Sunday, November 2 for friends and camp alumni complete with dance party, games and costume contest. Playwright Ben Niehaus is writing original comedy sketches, aptly titled "The Donner Party Pageant", for our first ever Creepshow Camp holiday open house on Sunday, December 7. In addition to the two Sunday events (11/2 and 12/7), Saturdays from 3:30 5:00 pm, Tuesdays 6:30 8:30 pm, October 18 November 22 and dress rehearsals on Tuesday 12/2 from 6:30 9:00 pm and Saturday 12/6 from 10:30 am 5:00 pm. Tuition is $350.
