TouchPoints Ministry's Leadership Enrichment & Development (LEAD) Series Fall Kick-Off
We are looking forward to you joining us at "The Call to Followership" on October 19th. Followership involves being in relationship with Jesus as we journey together "on the Way." He describes the path as narrow, the yoke with Him as easy, and the presence of the Holy Spirit as guide. The Way to the Father and our eternal home is a journey of learning to love the God who loves us, to love others as ourselves, and to be known to the non-Christian world by this love. We only know this kind of love experientially as we spend more time with God who IS love.
There are many calls, but the call to followership is foundational to any other calling you may have in your life. The first half of our day we will learn more about "being" with Christ. Too often in ministry and even in our personal lives, we are rewarded for all that we 'do'. However, the call to followership, being with and abiding in Christ, is essential. Out of our time with Christ comes our direction for "doing"--how, when, and where, we use and invest our time, talents and resources and with whom. During the second half of our time together, we will discuss more of the 'doing' of follwership (discipleship) and receive practical tools to live on mission in our daily lives.
We have two outstanding guests joining us for the day. Pastor SooJi Alvarez will be sharing her musical talents, and leading us in worship. As well, Pastor Sheila Houston, founder of Rare Coins Ministry, will share her story of follwership. You don't want to miss this powerful story of redemption and renewal!
The Leadership Enrichment and Development (LEAD) series of Touch Points Ministry will rekindle your passion for influencing others for Christ. LEAD is designed to encourage and equip women in all kinds of ministry to serve with Christ-like character, competence, courage, and commitment. I hope you will join us and invite your friends to the kick off event -The Call to Followership, which will be held on Oct. 19 from 9AM-4PM at CrossRoads Bible Church (15815 SE 37th Street, Bellevue, WA).
