celebrating Black History Month & showcasing the exhibition,

Fighting for the Right to Fight:
African American Experiences in World War II,
presented by the National WWII Museum

With special guest, Mrs. Allene Carter, daughter in law of
Medal of Honor recipient, Sgt. Edward Carter, & Author of Honoring Sergeant Carter: Redeeming a Black World War II Heros Legacy.

Fighting for the Right to Fight: African American Experiences in World War II shares the personal and group experiences of African American men and women during World War II. The exhibit examines social changes brought about by the events of World War II and
connects African Americans efforts during the war to the
burgeoning Civil Rights Movement.
