Media and Children
Dr. Christakis' talk will focus on the neurobiological mechanisms of addiction, how they apply to today's digital media, and what parents can do to raise healthy children in a digital world.
A pediatrician, researcher, and parent, Dr. Dimitri Christakis, is the George Adkins Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington, Director of the Center for Child Health, Behavior and Development at Seattle Children's Research Institute, and an attending pediatrician at Seattle Children's Hospital.
