South Sound Charity Run

You are cordially invited to participate in the 1st Annual South Sound Charity 5K/Youth Dash.

Our inaugural event benefits the Diego Moreno Scholarship Fund at Washington State University. Officer Moreno died tragically in the line of duty in July of 2018 while trying to protect his community. A real life hero, Diego was awarded three life-saving medals in his eight year career and was well known for his community focused approach to law enforcement.

Diego dedicated his life to public service, working with youth and bringing joy to all he encountered through his incredible sense of humor. This scholarship is awarded to a WSU student majoring in Criminal Justice who will continue the values and commitment to public service that Diego exemplified.

The goal of this event is to raise $25,000 to endow the scholarship, providing financial assistance to award the scholarship for many years to come.

T-shirt included in adult registration until February 18, 2020. After that, sizes and quantity cannot be guaranteed. Please indicate size during registration.

Race packets will be available for pickup starting March 4th for those that registered early. Details will be provided at a later date.

Kent Police Foundation will be conducting a raffle. Tickets will be available for purchase by cash only. ATM machines are located onsite.

This event will be photographed and video recorded. Images may be used for promotional and social media purposes.
