Youth Open Mic
In a field that is so adult oriented, it can be difficult for young musicians to find opportunities to perform. Artichoke's new Youth Open Mic provides a space for music's next generation to create and perform in a safe and supportive environment. Original music is encouraged, but by no means required.
Names will be drawn to determine the order of play.
At Artichoke open mics we encourage what we call "generous listening." Every song and every performer offers something of value. Whether performers are polished professionals or struggling beginners, we encourage you to focus on and support the positive in every performance.
This event is offered in collaboration with students from Cleveland High School and PROWUS, a non-profit organization that provides grants for music students.
