Chock full of your favorite fairy tale characters, this brilliant, witty musical by Stephen Sondheim is not exactly your typical fairy tale. The Baker and his wife want a child but have been cursed by their neighbor, the Witch. They beg her to break the curse so she sends them on a quest where their fates are entwined with Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Jack (of beanstalk fame), and many others.
