Workshop with SNL's Paul Brittain: Alternative Long Forms (SF Improv Fest 2013)
Alternative Long Forms - not, like, 1990s grunge rock long forms. Rather, long forms other than The Harold.
This workshop will focus on playing with some unique forms and will help get performers out of their comfortable routines and back to a space of exploration. Find inspiration in your teammates' and scene partners' work and watch ideas the ideas flow. Oh, and also have fun.
Bio: Paul Brittain is an actor, writer, comedian living in Los Angeles. He was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 2010 - 2012 where he performed such characters as "Sex" Ed Vincent, Goran "Funky Boy" Bogdan, and Lord Cecil Wyndemere and celebrity impressions including James Franco, Johnny Depp, and Ron Paul. Along with Jet Eveleth he improvised and created the sketch show "Ted & Melanie" at the iO Theater, and has performed it around the country.
