"Sex, Love and Hope
In a small town in Sweden, we meet a family of three who all feel stuck in their lives.The wife, Birgit, hungers for something better. The husband, Lennart, hungers for his wife´s love, and their teenage daughter wants to find a boyfriend who loves her. Together with the rest of the small town citizens they all escape in the TV show "Sex, Hope & Love" where the charming host hands out lovers to the participants. The TV program allows them to dream of a life filled with love, especially Birgit. The host of the program, Bertil, is her teenage boyfriend. As a consequence of his father's death, Bertil is forced to return to his hometown and his arrival sets in motion a chain of events infused with sex, hope and love. Well-hidden truths are entering the family´s reality, and the characters are pushed to face themselves and their trouble with committing to each other and receiving the love that exists in their surroundings.
