Vacker Dam
Vacker Dam is a Worcester-based acoustic folk duo featuring Keri Anderson (Ayahuasca Blues Project, Little Sugar and the Big Spoonful) and Alison McTavish (Oui Maja, Live Petty). The pair performs original music, much of it love-themed, and covers from such artists as Bob Dylan, Gillian Welch and The Staple Singers. Their blues background infuses their dreamy harmonies with a raw gutsiness. Joining Alison and Keri will be special guest Sarah Carcia of Blackstone Soul Revue on flute!
Opening will be Helen Sheldon, Jim Chilson and Jay Sheffler of Helen and the Trash Pandas. Though hard to define, their sound has been referred to as gutbucket soul blended with blues and American rock and roll.
