HR Law for Supervisors with Matthew Burr Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm in the Borg Warner Room of the Tompkins County Public Library, E. Green St. at S. Cayuga St., Ithaca. Fee $70 and includes light refreshments.
For many supervisors, making a mistake that gets you into hot water with HR may be one of your greatest fears. This program will provide a high-level overview of the impacts these laws can have not only on your organization, but supervisors and managers in your day to day job duties. You will gain a better understanding of the laws through the use of detailed examples, discussion, and real-world scenarios.
Attendees will:
-Learn about important federal and state workplace laws and regulations related to labor standards, safety, ant-discrimination, and harassment
-Use discussion questions and what if scenarios to reinforce learning
-Be provided a guidebook for daily reference
