Mosaic Pet Portraits with Elizabeth Wright

Local award winning mosaic artist, Elizabeth Wright, will be conducting a two day pet portrait workshop where attendees will learn how to take the wonderful, quirky, loving characteristics of a pet and create a beautiful mosaic portrait. Elizabeth will cover the process from beginning to end, which includes different methods of mosaic that can be used, the choosing of glass colors, other materials, different glass cuts required, flow of glass, creating realistic and captivating eyes, inclusion of unique items, surrounding glass and finally grout colors.

Saturday February 15th- 9am-4pm and Sunday February 16th 10am-4pm. **This workshop is for students with mosaic experience**

Each attendee will need to bring a picture of their favorite pet, which can be a cat, dog, horse, or any animal they would like to do a portrait of. Choosing this image is so important! It needs to convey the personality of the animal and be cropped to include just a head shot of this pet and fit proportionately in a frame. A supply list will be provided upon enrollment to the class (some items will be provided by the studio and some items will be provided by attendee).
