The Agitators Play
As part of the celebrations for the 100th anniversaries of the founding of the League of Women Voters and the enactment of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote, the League of Women Voters of Cook County is inviting all League members and their friends to attend the play
"The Agitators" by Mat Smart, presented by Remy Bumppo Theatre Company on Saturday, May 23 at 2:30 pm at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont, Chicago.
The Cook County League has obtained a group discounted price of $41 per ticket.
This play presents the tempestuous, yet enduring 45-year friendship of Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass as they shape the course of history.
The production features Remy Bumppo ensemble member Eliza Stoughton and guest artist and Steppenwolf ensemble member James Vincent Meredith.
Theater Wit is located at 1229 W. Belmont, between Southport and Racine. The Belmont "L" stop for the Red and Brown lines is 4 blocks east. The 77 CTA bus that runs on Belmont will drop you there. There is often street parking, and self parking in the large lot behind Kubo restaurant across the street is available for $8.
