Blue Point Wine Dinner with Geoff Kruth, Master Sommelier from Lost & Found Winery
We are celebrating 3o years of Good Taste...from The Blue Point since 1989.
This month we are hosting our first Wine Dinner of 2020 on FRIDAY, January 17 with Geoff Kruth, Master Sommelier from Lost & Found Winery and one of America's most respected wine professionals. He's one of only 236 Master Sommeliers in the world. ..we'll be hosting Master Sommelier Geoff Kruth and dedicating the evening to "lost and found," an approach to classic winemaking from excellent vineyards.
Master Sommelier Geoff Kruth is the proprietor of Lost and Found Winery, who, along with consulting winemaker Megan Glaab, source fruit from "lost and found" vineyard sites in Sonoma Valley. In addition to his success in the vineyard, Geoff launched the GuildSomm website in 2009, joining his career in wine with his early background in technology. He manages the organization, hosts the GuildSomm audio podcast and video documentaries, develops content, and leads masterclasses.
Familiar with SOMM films? Geoff co-produced of the documentary film Into the Bottle, the follow-up to the cult documentary hit SOMM in addition to starring in the TV show Uncorked.
The Blue Point Culinary team will prepare some snacks for the reception and then three seated courses will be paired with wines from Lost & Found Winery. The evening will be fun, casual, delicious and a different experience. Reception with chardonnay and snacks begins at 6pm and will include a preview of the BP kitchen. Dinner will follow on our private porch at 6:30pm. Wines from Lost & Found will also be available to order exclusively through the BP.
The Blue Point Advanced Sommelier, Simon Kaufmann, is thrilled to have Geoff visit us and hopes that you all will enjoy his company and wines as much as he does. Join us in welcoming Geoff Kruth to the OBX!
The event is limited to 24 guests and tickets are $95 each. Gratuity is not included so please bring some small bills for the service team. We hope you will join us! Don't miss this fun evening!
Tickets go on sale Friday, January 3 at NOON. Tickets are transferable but not refundable.
