BBC World Service radio show; `The Arts Hour on Tour' is in Miami to celebrate the city's unique Cuban-American and Latinx culture. Host Nikki Bedi is on stage at The Koubek Center, Miami Dade College, with a live audience and music performance from Afro-Cuban funk sensation Cimafunk, and the `Princess of Son' Leslie Cartaya. Writer Vanessa Garcia talks about her play `Amparo, that gave Miami theatre audiences a taste of pre and post-Revolutionary Cuba this year, and visual artist Sandra Ramos talks about working between Miami and Havana. And theres live comedy from Milton Granadillo. Join Nikki with stories of living at the heart of the Cuban Diaspora and what makes Miami's arts scene so vibrant and unique.
Admission is on a first-come first-serve basis until capacity of the Theatre is reached.
