We'll gather at Bloom Yoga on Saturday January 11th for self-care after the busy holidays. The class is open to all levels and will include gentle and restorative yoga for all body types. Join us if you're a current volunteer or if you want to learn more about Moms Demand Action / Everytown (you don't have to be a mom). Whether it's volunteering for community outreach, legislative actions, attending meetings, or helping to organize events and volunteers, we can work together to end gun violence. Street parking available or take the Brown Line to Rockwell stop. Please leave time for parking and setting up your mat - plan to arrive by 5:15. Tickets are required and available below.
Our instructor: Kathleen Matuszewich was introduced to yoga by her college modern dance teacher Anna Leo, while studying at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Kathleen continued to dance following college and practiced yoga, primarily as a way to relieve some of her body aches and pains. As her dance career faded into motherhood, her interest in yoga moved from merely physical to much more. Kathleen loves taking yoga classes, and continues to ponder yoga's many gifts on the mat and off. She teaches yoga as she taught dance, with a respect to its function and form, a playful willingness to explore, deep curiosity and joy. She's also a Waters Elementary parent and volunteer!
Thank you Kathleen and Bloom Yoga Studio!
