Lester T. Rawws Graveside Quartet is the alter ego of the San Francisco based band The Pine Box Boys. Composed of the same members, it was the result of numerous requests by fans of The Pine Box Boys to record a childrens album. You can expect original material from the mind of Lester Raww as well as some jazz standards from the Tin Pan Alley era. Front man Lester T. Raww feels as though their album Lester T. Rawws Graveside Quartet SINGS YOUR CHILDREN TO SLEEP does not accomplish what it was intended to do. This is due to the fact that the album is more likely to produce nightmares in children than warm, fuzzy, Raffi-esque feelings. All of this music is made with a combination of stringed instruments as well as accordions and various horns. The band will begin recording their second album this fall.
