For the Love of Friends: A story about the life and work of Brent Nicholson Earle
In 1986, to awaken America to the AIDS crisis and to honor the friends he lost, Brent Nicholson Earle runs the perimeter of the United States. In 2020, performers from the worlds of theater, opera and dance embody episodes of his life on stage.
Inspired by Brent's activism and friendship, Executive Producers Barbara Martinez and David Charner and Hup! Productions present For the Love of Friends.
Our show works within and in parallel with our eponymous film "For the Love of Friends." In the film, our director Cara Consilvio, is building a picture of Brent's life and work through journals and interviews. These same first-hand documents build the drama and reality of the show.
Experience exciting new compositions by Salomon Lerner, Amelia Brey and Christian Adam Jacobs.
