SkillSwap: Tempura Appetizers
SkillSwap is a barter-based education series featuring workshops on a variety of topics. There is no monetary registration fee; instead, each instructor suggests items or services they will accept in exchange for class participation.
Our volunteer instructors prepare based on how many people sign up, so PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP IF YOU WILL ACTUALLY ATTEND.
Class Description
Learn simple tempura techniques to create easy, delicious, and fun appetizers.
Age restrictions
12 and up, please (those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)
Suggested swap items for this class
* Fun bright-colored socks (womens medium)
* Handmade kitchen towels or hotpads if you have some scraps lying around and sew (love bright colors)
* Recipe of one of your favorite family dishes using vegetables (Im weird so nothing will shock me)
* Stories of either how your ancestors came to the United States OR of a special dish your family served to honor their home country (please be prepared to tell all of us - we want to share in the love!)
About the Instructor
Liza Naylor grew up in an international home learning to cook dishes from around the world. She brings her passion for cooking through unique offerings and cooking classes. Liza owns Locally Seasoned, a personal chef and catering business in York.
