SkillSwap: Get Present: An Intro to Meditation
SkillSwap is a barter-based education series featuring workshops on a variety of topics. There is no monetary registration fee; instead, each instructor suggests items or services they will accept in exchange for class participation.
Our volunteer instructors prepare based on how many people sign up, so PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP IF YOU WILL ACTUALLY ATTEND.
Class Description
Meditation is weird/not for me/too hard/a pipe dream. Maybe one of these is you? Whether youve never meditated, considered it once, or have a regular practice, take some time to consider different styles of meditation, learn about ways to incorporate it into your life, and try something new. Wear comfortable clothes and feel free to bring a cushion or blanket (or dont! Well have chairs, too.), plus some paper and something to write with. Every meditation can bring something different, so if you attended this session back in October, wed love to see you again!
Suggested swap items for this class
* Plants! Cuttings or fresh babies.
* Things to hold plants
* Advice or recommendations on building a native plant garden
* Reading recommendation from the last book you read and loved
