Winter Journey
Winterreise (Winter Journey) is a song cycle for voice and piano by Franz Schubert (D. 911, published as Op. 89 in 1828), a setting of 24 poems by Wilhelm Müller. It is the second of Schubert's two great song cycles on Müller's poems, the earlier being Die schöne Müllerin (D. 795, Op. 25, 1823).

Winter Journey is a theatrical staging of the original vocal work, adding movement, costumes, sets, lighting to the original 24 songs in German.

Winter Journey features Tim Rebers (tenor), Posy Knight (movement), and Maggie Rebers (piano.) 70 minutes (no intermission).

Tim Rebers is a singer, composer, arranger, and conductor. He holds his M.A. in Vocal Performance as well as Music Composition from Truman State University and his B.A. in Music Theory and Composition from Wisconsin Lutheran College. He sings a wide variety of styles, time periods, and languages. He enjoys connecting with his audience, and presenting new music and new interpretations to help expand his listeners' interest in all the world's great wealth of music. He performs for audiences of all ages and backgrounds, often with his wife at the piano.

Posy Knight is a powerhouse artist and organizer. As a founding director of 53212 Presents, she is a part of the team creating a place for artists in 53212 to create and build community. Posy defies labels and engages at all levels; as a anti-disciplinarian collaborator, UW-Milwaukee ArtsECO fellow and MPS teacher, adult mentor and professional advocate, production designer and painter, arts patron and community engagement director. After a youth immersed in classical ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance training in Ottawa, Canada, Washington D.C., and Colorado Springs, Posy received her BFA from The Juilliard School in New York City and continued on to a professional career that included international touring and seasons at venues like St. Mark's Church and the Joyce. Switching gears, Posy studied art direction with Matias Sasaki in Buenos Aires, Argentina, eventually receiving her MFA in scenic design from the University of Connecticut in 2014. She moved to Milwaukee in 2014 to work with director of Quasimondo Physical Theatre, Brian Rott, and has been a part of teams in various roles at Alverno, Arts At Large, Artworks, Aura Theatre Collective, Cardinal Stritch University, Cooperative Performance, Danceworks, First Stage, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Milwaukee Dance Theatre Network, Milwaukee and Wauwatosa Recreation Departments, Optimist, Theatre Gigante, Uprooted, UW-Milwaukee, and Walkers Point Center for the Arts.
