The Odyssey
Chekhov Theatre Ensemble presents two performances of a one-hour adaptation of Homer's "The Odyssey," directed by Robert Kalfin.
The Chekhov Theatre Ensemble, a company of 10 professional actors, incorporates the methodology of Michael Chekhov, upon which Stages of Learnings instructional practices for children are based. This one-hour adaptation is a demonstration of techniques used in the classroom with New York City students.
Director Robert Kalfin is the Founder of The Chelsea Theatre Center and has directed over 150 productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in major American regional theaters and internationally.
Stages of Learning, a nonprofit organization that improves the educational success of children grades three through six, by using theater making during the school day as part of their regular curriculum activities.
