Developing Grace and Confidence with Dollie Rivas and Athena

Dollie Rivas has been the resident choreographer of Bustout Burlesque, the hit-show at House of Blues New Orleans, since its premiere in early 2005. She's choreographed numerous dance routines, including Perle Noire's Josephine Baker act, which won Best Debut at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas in 2008. Formerly, Dollie was a Las Vegas showgirl who opened the long-running Jubilee! at the MGM Grand. In this workshop, with the help of Bustout Burlesque dancer Athena, she will focus on body isolations, sensual walks, and then combine the two into elegant choreography. This workshop is for all levels of performers. Don't be afraid! If you lack grace and confidence, or are an established performer and just want to polish up, this is the class for you! Who knows, if you impress Miss Dollie during the class, she may recommend you as a guest performer with Bustout Burlesque! (90 min) Saturday, September 21th. 3:30pm
