PIONEERS
This film tells the story of Wrocaw (Breslau) seen by the eyes of the first inhabitants resettled there in the post-war period 1945-1948. Their stories reveal not only their individual motives for moving there, but they also give an explanation of the broader, underlying social phenomenon of this mass influx of the population into Wrocaw. The reasons were manifold: ordinary curiosity, government orders, and attempts to escape and conceal the wartime past.
