Spotlight Academy for Young Actors: Fall 2013 Session

Fall Class Schedule:
Sept. 9th - Oct. 9th (5 weeks)
Instructor: Rachel Lopez

Mondays (4:00-5:30) Grades 3rd-8th Intro to Acting - Students will be introduced to basic techniques and learn the fundamentals through theatre games and exercises. Character development, vocalization, and stage direction will all be covered. No prior class enrollment or experience necessary. Class will NOT culminate in a performance. Cost: $100.00

Tuesdays (4:00-5:30) Grades 6th & up Scene Study Intensive - This class will guide the student actor from technique to performance. Students will study a variety of scenes pairing with different scene partners to foster connection and explore relationships within scenes. Previous acting class or performance experience required. Class WILL culminate in a demonstration for parents during final class. Cost: $100.00

Wednesdays (4:00-5:30) Grades 6th & up Monologue Madness - Learn techniques to help master a monologue for auditioning and performance. Students will be given (2) monologues appropriate for their age and experience level to memorize and perform. Prior basic acting enrollment encouraged but not required. Class WILL culminate in a demonstration for parents during final class. Cost: $100.00

All classes will be held at Good Luck Macbeth Theatre Company, 713 S Virginia St., Reno, NV 89501.

** At least 6 children must be registered before the start date for classes to begin.

*** Pro-rated rates are available for kids beginning after 9/9. A multiple child discount of 10% is available for families with more than one child enrolled.
