A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2
*CALL 541-205-9190 FOR HELP BUYING TICKETS*
In the final scene of Ibsen's 1879 groundbreaking masterwork, Nora Helmer makes the shocking decision to leave her husband and children, and begin a life on her own. This climactic event when Nora slams the door on everything in her life instantly propelled world drama into the modern age. In A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2, 15 years have passed since Nora's exit. Now, there is a knock on that same door. Nora has returned. But why? And what will it mean for those she left behind? You don't need to see Part 1 to follow Part 2.
Says director and Oregon Shakespeare Festival actor Caroline Shaffer, "We have assembled a dream cast and creative team. Cate Davis is mesmerizing as Nora (after playing her in A DOLL'S HOUSE at OSF 22 years ago), Eileen DeSandre showcases her comedic genius as Anne-Marie, Peter Alzado is sublime as Torvald, and Hazel James dazzles as Emmy. With Richard Hay, Chris Sackett, and Barry Kraft returning as set designer, lighting designer, and Textual Consultant/gadfly, I think we have a certified hit on our hands!"
A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2 runs Fridays and Saturdays May 8, 9, 15, & 16 at 8 pm and Sundays matinees May 10 & 17 at 2 pm, in the Crystal Ballroom at the Ashland Springs Hotel. Tickets are $20/Senior(+65) & Student $18. May 8 Opening Night Champagne Benefit for Resolve is $25. May 7 preview performance is $15. There will be a talkback after the May 10 performance.
