A Christmas Carol by Fleeing Artists
The holidays are fast approaching, and once again the Fleeing Artists will be producing their acclaimed version of Charles Dickens' classic story, A CHRISTMAS CAROL.
In this unique re-telling of the story, a small ensemble of 8 actors portray all 40+ characters.
Directed by Rick Bingen. Adapted by Alex Metalsky from the novella by Charles Dickens.
BRIEF SUMMARY: This is Charles Dickens' classic ghost story of the miserly Ebeneezer Scrooge, whose love of wealth and distaste for humanity puts him on a dangerous path. But, over the course of a single night, Scrooge is shown his Past mistakes, Present opportunities, and Future regrets, thanks to visitations from three Spirits. After their intervention, Scrooge sees the error of his ways, and vows to use his wealth and influence to better himself and others.
The quintessential holiday ghost story, this version of CHRISTMAS CAROL is done in the style of Storyteller Theatre. Inspired by the famous Royal Shakespeare Company's rendition of "Nicholas Nickelby", CHRISTMAS CAROL features a small cast of 8 actors playing all 40+ characters, who also function as Narrators to pepper the scenes with Dickens' marvelous writing.
Run-time is around 80 minutes (plus Intermission).
