A.O. Forbes, long time teacher at CRMS, will be celebrating the release of his debut CD, Simple Magic, on September 6, 2013, 7:30pm, at the Thunder River Theatre in Carbondale.
Some musicians emerge on the music scene in their teens or twenties, releasing their debut records early in their writing and performing careers. AO Forbes lived a rich and accomplished life while quietly nurturing a tender singing voice, serious guitar skills, and a song catalog to be envied. With Simple Magic, a beloved and award winning educator, experienced river rafter, soccer coach, husband and father takes a bold step into the world of music just weeks after his 62nd birthday.
Playing with AO will be a cast of local musical stars, J.D. Martin, Jan Garrett, Chris Bank, George Weber, Beth Amsel and Sarah Graf.
