The Lover AND Appearances|
By Harold Pinter By Tina Howe
Directed by NJ Agwuna Lindsey Hope Pearlman
Nothing is as it seems in this double-bill evening! "The Lover," Harold Pinter's playful and provocative exploration of the intricacies of modern marriage, is directed by NJ Agwuna, twisting the boundaries of temptation, fidelity, and judgement. Director Lindsey Hope Pearlman stages Tina Howe's "Appearances," a comic meditation on women and self-image in which the search for the perfect dress is eternal...and sometimes, a job for two! As a customer and a sales clerk form an uneasy alliance, they share their hopes, dreams, and a secret plan for a very important occasion.
Following the Saturday, February 1st performance at 2pm:
Directors In Conversation: NJ Agwuna and Lindsey Hope Pearlman
Both sets of double-bill directors will discuss their DirectorFest productions, their experiences as Drama League New York Directing Fellows, and answer questions from the audience.
Free and open to all DirectorFest ticket-holders of any performance. No reservations required.
Tickets are non-refundable.
