Tantra Immersion: A Progressive Journey Inward
The Tantra Immersion is a holistic course that creates the conditions to reveal our true nature. This immersive, multi-level course is based on the teachings of Hridaya Yoga which was started by Sahajananda in Mazunte, Mexico. They stem from classical tantric teachings and are oriented towards uncovering who we really are.
If youve felt that gnawing that says, Theres more than just work and sleep!, then come find out what youre looking for, what else is possible. The teachings of Tantra give us specific practices, techniques and understandings of how to find the deeper answers from within and how to orient ourselves toward a more holistic life.
Many of us want to go deeper into our Tantric journey and dont quite know where to start. The Tantra Immersion begins with Module 1 and will deepen into future courses that give you a step-by-step path into the unknown of spiritual awakening.
Schedule
Module 3 is a 7-week course with 8 immersive classes (7 Tuesdays and 1 Sunday). Each class includes a foundational teaching of Tantra, and a Tantric practice technique. The teachings and practices deepen in future modules, creating a holistic approach to integrate Tantra into our whole lives - both in our time on-the-mat, away from lifes demands, as well as in the midst of our relationships, work, community and personal growth.
We highly encourage a commitment to a daily practice for everyone in this course.
After you complete Module 3 by attending at least 80% of the course, youll be able to attend consecutive modules. You can also take Module 1, 2 or 3 again at half the price to deepen your Tantric life.
Module 3 Curriculum
Module 3 is a journey into the body through the knowledge of Ayurveda, the constitutions, the gunas, and cleaning/purification techniques. Well get very familiar with diet according to Yoga, Tantra and Ayurveda (including a cooking class!
Deepening body-, breath-, mind- and heart-based techniques will continue our personal growth, spiritual transformation, and the arising of faith based on your lived experience. The foundation unfolds to support your personal daily practice, create community connection, and understand the necessary views of Tantra through the embodiment of body, breath and heart. Weekly practice in class is prioritized in this second immersion module.
All participants will be given a course book to continue your studies and help support your practice.

FAQs
Is this a yoga course?
Yes, and its not like what you might think of when you think of American yoga. Hridaya Yoga is a deep, internal practice which fuses the power of the sacred heart with the energies of the body. It is a deeply purifying, relaxing and internalizing practice that includes the body (movement & asana), breath, heart and mind.
Is there any sexual touch or nudity?
No, there is no sexual touch or nudity. We will discuss elements of relationships connection in future Modules. The Tantra Immersion is a nonsexual course which teaches a breadth and depth of Tantra practices.
Are there any prerequisites?
Yes! Module 2 comes after successful completion (80%+ attendance) of Module 1.
This says Module 3. Will there be other modules? How many?
Yes. Well keep offering modules to deepen as long as there is desire! Well offer each module a few times before the next one so that dedicated groups of students can move into successive modules. The depth of Tantric teachings is nearly bottomless.
What do I need to bring?
If you have a yoga mat, please bring one with you. We have some for public use. Please bring your course booklet at each teaching and a journal or notebook to take notes.
Please arrive on a relatively empty stomach as some of our practices cannot be done within 2 hours of eating.

- FINDING US: The new SEC space is on Capitol Hill, on 19th Ave East between E. Roy and E. Mercer Streets. The official address is 1818 E. Mercer Street, but there is no building marked with that address and the building itself is not really visible from Mercer. So your best bet is to navigate to the Monsoon Restaurant, whose address is 615 19th AVE E.
Facing Monsoon, go up the stairway on the south side (between Monsoon and Zeeks Pizza). At the top of the stairs is the Mercer Professional Building. Take a Left and walk about 20 feet South, then turn Right and walk to the end of the planter box on your right. Our entrance is the glass door.
- PARKING: Arrive with enough time to find a space. Parking is available on 19th or on the side streets. There is untimed parking a block North on 19th between Aloha and Roy. There is also untimed parking to the East on 20th Ave. There is also a disabled parking spot in the alley between 18th & 19th.
- PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Use the Monsoon restaurant address of 615 19th Ave E.
- ACCESSIBILITY: The accessible entrance, including an electronic lift, is located off Mercer in the alley between 18th & 19th on the north side of the street. From the corner of Mercer & 19th, you have to go up a hill past the Shea Apartments to the alley.
To operate the lift, press the II button to open the door, then once inside press and hold I to lower the lift. You do not need a key to operate.

The accessible door to the building is the glass door in front of the lift. As you enter this door, go to the end of the lobby and turn right to enter SEC. The outside door is unlocked between 8am-8pm. All of our events begin before 8pm, but if you know youll need to enter after, please contact Heather to make arrangements. Our main SEC door is having a ramp installed in October.

- PRIVACY: We have a privacy and confidentiality policy for our community which you will be asked to sign when you attend your first event. Basically, we agree not to share your information and we ask you not to share others information.
- VENUE: please, be aware our location is smoke free and shoe free.
- SUBSTANCES: SEC intends to cultivate conscious living, conscious loving and freedom. Intrinsic in the work of increasing our consciousness is a keen noticing of our bodies and of those around us. This deep listening doesn't mix well with alcohol or other substances, so please don't consume those that would hinder your natural state before attending or at events.
- SCENTS: Please, be mindful when wearing colognes, perfumes, essential oils or other scented or chemical products to our events. Some people are extremely sensitive. We are not currently a scent-free space, however we do our best to be scent sensitive
