Crossing the Bridge goes above and beyond your average musical documentary. The film contrasts Istanbul in a variety of ways; old and new, poor and rich, modern and traditional. Via these contrasts, Crossing the Bridge launches you into an adventure through Istanbul's music culture. You meet a spectrum of personalities, young and old, big stars and modest street musicians, all playing a wide variety of music. The film's subtle humor and fascinating protagonists creates a compelling picture of 21st century Turkey.
